1 Year Stats

This past Wednesday my mom and I took the babies for their 12 month well visit (only 20 or so days after the 12 month mark- our doctor is very popular).  The visit was LONG.  We got there early - no easy feat.  And they were running behing - no surprise.  We tried to occupy the babies in the waiting room and keep them from the toys, tables and chairs.

Tommy weighs 23 lbs 2 oz (50th percentile) and is 32.5 inches long (95th percentile).

Lily weighs 22 lbs 2 oz (60th percentile) and is 31.5 inches long (95th percentile).

Current developmental highlights:

Lily is running around. She is still a daredevil and thinks nothing of walking off the sofa or standing on her armchair to reach the any 'contraban' that otherwise might be out of reach.  She is an escape artist- and will find her way through any gate that isn't 100% secured.  I recently found her upstairs (she was not supposed to be there).  She also likes to visit Zeke whenever able.

Tommy is walking too.  He mostly cruises along the furniture but his current walking record is 21 steps!  He continues to be very vocal- he can say things like doggie, Zeke (G-Eeek), bottle, Mama, Dada, and today he said bubbles.  He is a little parroket- repeating things, or at least trying to, whenever you ask him to.

They can be a bit rough toward one another but every now and then they are so sweet and gentle.  Of course, I rarely get photo proof of that (it is fleeting).  At the moment, they are both sick with a cold.  They must feel for one another.  Tommy kissed Lily while she was upset.  Now I am not a germaphobe by any stretch but this might not be the time for kissing.

It is amazing to see them grow and learn everyday.  The things they can do absolutely astonish us!
