Shaun loves smoothies! He makes smoothies of frozen berries and yogurt regularly. Our babies have grown found of Daddy's frozen concoctions too. If they see him take the blender out of the cabinet they get excited. Before he gets the berries out of the freezer they are hurriedly asking for their smoothies.
We love that the babies love smoothies. Shaun likes that they like his culinary skill (and no I didn't forget the s). I like that they get some extra nutrition but think they are getting a real treat. The only part we don't particularly enjoy is the clean-up part. Here is why...

Why stop with the face?
Lily has smoothie down her arms, all over her bib and tray.
Luckily for us, children are washable. We make sure smoothies are followed up by bath time. We are so proud of our babies and their ability to feed themselves (with spoons and straws in this case). While it might not particularly look like it, their hand-eye coordination is quite impressive.
