Two Weeks Today!

It is hard to believe but today marks the twin's 2nd week birthday!  I know, that is a stretch.  But we just can't believe they have been with us for two full weeks now.  In ways, it seems like a lifetime and in others if feels like a blink. 

Last night didn't feel like a blink!  After two really good nights with the babies sleeping (without fussing or crying) between feedings, last night was rough.  Lily didn't sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time from 1am - 8am.  Shaun and I took turns trying to comfort her.  She was really gassy.  It was so hard to watch her struggle throughout the night.  We tried all the tricks we learned in the many baby books we read ahead of time.  We tried the Mylicon drops that our doctor suggested.  Nothing seemed to soothe her.  Hopefully, tonight will be better.  I am planning on starting a food diary to keep track of what I eat and how that corresponds to her gas.  Thomas on the other hand, slept like a log.  He isn't the least bit bothered with his sister's screams and cries.

We did some research on the internet this morning- once our eyes cleared from the blurriness of the rough night.  We gathered some new ideas that we plan to employ this evening.  If you have any suggestions or advice, please let us know.  A few more nights of this will be really tough.  Shaun is going back to work at the end of the week.  Yikes!
